Ferran Adelantado is an Asscoiate Professor at the Computer Science, Telecommunications and Multimedia Department and Senior Researcher at the WINE research group at Open University of Catalonia (UOC). He received the degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in December 2001. In June 2002 he joined the Radio Communications Research Group at UPC, where he completed his Ph.D in May 2007. Since December 2007 he has been working at UOC. Also from UOC, he received the BSc in Business Sciences in July 2012. Currently, he is the Director of the Doctoral programme on Network and Information Technologies.
He holds more than 40 high impact publications, including International journals, Conferences, book chapters and white papers. Morepver, Ferran has participated in several funded European and National projects, such as SOFIA, COSMOS, EVEREST, CAUTION, AlgotithmsForRealRouting or CROSSFIRE. His research interests include wireless access networks, 4G/5G systems, small cells, dynamic spectrum access, radio resource management, cognitive wireless networks, opportunistic spectrum access, sensor wireless networks, wireless communications protocols, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
